This is the place to post any random geeky item you feel like talking about. It might be about some geek related movie coming out, a comic series about to start, or really anything you want to say that doesn't seem to have a home in any other thread on our corner of the forums here.

I had to explain to people at work who she was...I think even a couple people I had to explain that it was a she because you really couldn't tell if memory serves me right. I loved that she had the armless and mouthless zombies with her. I think those in the comics were her brother and boyfriend, but I couldn't remember.

So pumped for next season, but sucks to have to wait so long.

McFarlane Toys' The Walking Dead TV Series 2 Figures Lineup
by Outsiders in McFarlane at 10:02 PM on 2012.03.23

With the second season full of massive surprises, shocking deaths and plot twists around nearly every corner, we have already started obsessing over where season three will take the survivors, and which new upcoming characters and zombies will take over toy aisles and office cubicles nationwide this fall.

So, while legions of fans are anxiously waiting for season three to start, McFarlane Toys is increasing the anticipation with the announcement of its second series of The Walking Dead Action figures, slated to hit store shelves in October 2012.

“As fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead series, our toy company is having a blast creating these figures with all the details and features iconic to the show’s favorite characters,” said Todd McFarlane. “My goal is to put out very intriguing figures and push the envelope, so that the true essence of the show is captured for all the fans.”

So, let the obsession begin, The Walking Dead second series of deluxe figures will include both fan favorite survivors and zombies:

Rick Grimes 2 – The small-town sheriff’s turned-hero and leader of the survivors during the zombie apocalypse, Rick continues to struggle with his moral convictions in season two. The deputy is definitely keeping fans guessing on what his next shocking decision will be. Rick will be featured as a brand-new sculpt in his civilian attire, prevalent in season two.

Shane Walsh – Rick’s partner and loyal friend has become the antagonist of season two. Shane will be featured in tactical attire with his newly buzzed haircut. Love him or hate him, we can’t wait for his next move.

Bicycle Girl Zombie – The maimed zombie girl shown crawling next to her bicycle in a park turned out to be one of the most iconic zombies from season one. She is also the first zombie Deputy Rick Grimes encountered in the season one opener.

Well Zombie – A rotten, bloated zombie surprise resting at the bottom of Hershel’s water well that the survivors eventually attempt to hoist out by using Glen as bait. This is by far one of the sickest looking zombies seen yet on the series, and our figure is one dead on, stomach-churning replica.

RV Zombie – During the opening scene of season two, one of the most intense scenes happens as a mob of flesh-eating zombies swarm the group. Unaware of the flesh-eating zombie onslaught, Andrea becomes trapped in the recreational vehicle when one climbs aboard. Under attack from this “RV” Zombie, Andrea fights back, stabbing the zombie in the eyeball with a screwdriver.

Each human figure includes multiple interchangeable accessories and several points of articulation for limitless playability and customization. Each zombie figure features unique, gory play action. Figures are expected to sell for around $12.99 to $14.99 at stores nationwide.

Did they move Thundercats from Friday night? Was never a fan of the original show, but have really enjoyed the episodes I've seen of the new version a lot.

I think they moved it to Saturday morning. I think they pretty much took that entire Friday night line-up and moved it to Saturday morning.

Am I the only one tired of zombies and vampires? I don't hate them just never got into either very much. The only zombie things I've ever seen/read I ever found interesting were world war z, Shaun of the dead and the a movie called fido.

I want to be clear, I don't hate just don't care :)

I lied, I hate sparkly vampires and the retardedness of that series.

You're not the only one. Never really been a fan of anything horror related, and the amount of zombie stuff especially these days is crazy. Guess as long as there's a market they'll keep pounding it out.

World War Z is amazing. Have you ever listened to the audio book of it? They got some good actors for it (including Mark Hamill). It's really well done.

I am not tired of zombies and vampires when done well. There is a lot out there but I pick and choose. I love horror monsters when done well. The Walking Dead is more about the characters than the zombies so that is why I love it. I,Vampire is a great comic with vampires. It is tough to get through the bad, but there is some awesome stuff out there.
